Executive Pastry Chef Fenton Lee stepped out of the “conventional bakery box” and has created an old Hawaiian favorite with a new twist. We are proud to announce the birth of the Croissada–the perfect blend between a Croissant and a Malasada filled with a Polynesian Vanilla Bavarian cream. It is sure to captivate and satisfy your desire for a morning sweet or evening desert! These warm fluffy delicious delights are NOW available at the Aloha Center Café located at the Beach Tower Lanai area, just steps away from Waikiki Beach. About the Chef
Fenton Lee is a local world class pastry chef who has served the Hawaiian market for the past three decades wearing many different hats. From being one of the Top instructors for the University of Hawaii culinary arts program to owing his own iconic bakery on Kauai to serving as the Executive pastry chef for luxury resorts like the Manna Kea Beach Hotel, Waikaloa Hilton Resort, Hyatt Regency Kauai, Grand Wailea and most recently the Pacific Beach Hotel, Waikiki. Fenton has received many different awards during his tenure inclusive of the prestigious Hale Aina Award and has been the featured Chef in the Honolulu magazine several times.
Currently Fenton has been driving an aggressive and creative pastry program for the Pacific Beach Hotel branding their new and innovative Outdoor Café. One of his latest innovations put the Croissant and Malasada together making it ONE! The CROISSADA, as he so appropriately named it, is the perfect blend of a Croissant and a Malasada infused with a heavenly Polynesian vanilla Bavarian cream. The Croissada stands tall and is light, fluffy and airy yet this sweet sugar coated treat will make you want more and more. In the near future Fenton will be featuring Croissadas with many different fillings and toppings alike.
